Text Box: Skilled Nursing Our skilled nursing care involves a part-time RN (Registered Nurse) as well as an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse).  The nurses work as a team in order to supervise all other care provided by our CNA's (Certified Nursing Assistants), activity professionals, dietary staff, etc. They also provide our staff with the proper monthly in-service education needed in order to give the best care possible to our clients.  Some of the Nursing duties include but are not limited to: daily assessments of each clients' mental and physical condition, monitoring and documenting on client records, providing assistance with medications (when ordered by physician), and documenting all necessary evaluations in order to keep family members, case workers and physicians up to date on each clients' health status.     Therapeutic Activities Our daily activities are offered in a stimulating social environment.  Planned and managed by 2 Certified Activity Directors, we offer age appropriate, therapeutic activities which focus on maintaining and improving physical, social, mental, emotional and spiritual functioning. Activities include daily exercise, brainteasers, arts and crafts, discussion groups, music, Bingo, frequent special events, and some beauty fun.  All staff is somewhat involved in encouraging clients to be active and participate.   Nutritious Meals We serve a light breakfast and noontime meal and afternoon snack, which are dietician planned and approved. All meals offered are okay for diabetics, clients with high blood pressure, swallowing difficulties and other medical conditions. Our fully trained staff is able to assist individuals who are no longer able to eat independently.  Each staff member is certified in CPR and First Aid.   Personal Care Services We offer assistance with personal care services such as blood pressure monitoring, oral hygiene, grooming, some bathing, dressing, some toileting, ambulation, eating, and skin and nail care.     Transportation Transportation is a free service to those who qualify.  It is our pleasure to set up the dates and times needed, with the local NET (Non-Emergency Transport) Company.  However we  are not responsible for services provided by other companies.   Back to Home Page Text Box: We Love'em and Hug'em
